Group-Slicer: A collaborative extension of 3D-Slicer
In this paper, we describe a first step towards a collaborative extension of the well-known 3D-Slicer; this platform is nowadays used as a standalone tool for both surgical planning and medical intervention. We show how this tool can be easily modified to make it collaborative so that it may constitute an integrated environment for expertise exchange as well as a useful tool for academic purposes.
متن کاملPituitary Adenoma Volumetry with 3D Slicer
In this study, we present pituitary adenoma volumetry using the free and open source medical image computing platform for biomedical research: (3D) Slicer. Volumetric changes in cerebral pathologies like pituitary adenomas are a critical factor in treatment decisions by physicians and in general the volume is acquired manually. Therefore, manual slice-by-slice segmentations in magnetic resonanc...
متن کاملConSIT: A Conditioned Program Slicer
Conditioned slicing is a powerful generalisation of static and dynamic slicing which has applications to many problems in software maintenance and evolution, including re-use, reengineering and program comprehension. However, there has been relatively little work on the implementation of conditioned slicing. Algorithms for implementing conditioned slicing necessarily involve reasoning about the...
متن کاملTrackerless Surgical Image-guided System Design Using an Interactive Extension of 3D Slicer
Conventional optical tracking systems use cameras near-infra-red (NIR) light detecting cameras and passively/actively NIR-illuminated markers to localize instrumentation and the patient in the operating room (OR), i.e. physical space. This technology is widely-used within the neurosurgical theatre and is a staple in the standard of care in craniotomy planning. To accomplish, planning is largely...
متن کاملAn open source implementation of colon CAD in 3D Slicer
Most colon CAD (computer aided detection) software products, especially commercial products, are designed for use by radiologists in a clinical environment. Therefore, those features that effectively assist radiologists in finding polyps are emphasized in those tools. However, colon CAD researchers, many of whom are engineers or computer scientists, are working with CT studies in which polyps h...
